EnViva, part of the Sonderwell Group are looking for Complex Care Assistants in the Pocklington area.

We provide the highest quality complex care at home to clients by employing the best possible staff to provide that care. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals is here to help and support our clients to live life as they choose, in their own homes and empowering people to live as independently as possible.

When I was around a year old, I had multiple unexplained strokes which have had a big impact on my life and as a result I now need extra support. Due to my condition, I am unable to eat or drink orally, and I require all my nutrition and medications to be given through a tube in my nose which goes down to my tummy. Since becoming unwell, I have regular seizures and my body becomes stiff due to something called dystonia. I require a lot of medications to help with these and to keep me comfortable.

I like to listen to music as this helps to relax me and I love when people sing along. I also like sensory play, such as looking at lights and feeling different textures. I like to go on walks to explore different places and be outside in the fresh air.

We would love to welcome new carers who can bring a positive and calming energy to our team, but would like someone who is very reliable and has good knowledge of my care needs to help me with my daily cares.

We are looking for someone with the following experience, but would be happy to train the right person for the role:

· Helping with personal care

· Administering medication

· NG tube feeding

· Seizure management

· Dystonia management

· Oral suctioning

· Pressure area care

· Moving and handling

· Complex care knowledge

· Must be able to drive due to location

We will lead the way in the healthcare sector by investing in our people through progressive learning and development, caring for their wellbeing and enabling them to be the best they can be. We will care passionately at every touch point, empowering the people we support to live the most fulfilling life they can.

What we can offer you!?

  • PAID refer a friend bonus of £250
  •  Apprenticeship Level’s 2 – 5
  • Weekly pay
  • Holiday pay
  • Further training opportunities

We have a robust and in depth on boarding process where as a new employee, you’ll first complete your training and paid induction. As part of your induction, you will shadow another member of your team. This helps you understand your new role and get to know people in your team.

Your colleagues and management team will work with you during your induction to help you put your training into practice and answer any questions you may have. You’ll start building your own support network from day one – this will include your management team, colleagues and departments at Sonderwell Group

If you have a passion for the care of vulnerable people, are self-motivated, work well under pressure, and in challenging situations, we would love to speak with you!

If the above vacancy is not quite right for you, we do have other opportunities available that we would be interested in speaking with you about.

Full terms and conditions can be found on our website. We shall ensure fairness and equal opportunities throughout our workforce and in service delivery. We welcome applications from suitably skilled candidates regardless of ethnicity, gender, disability, sexuality, religion, or age.
