Enviva, part of the Sonderwell Group is looking for Complex Care Assistants in the York area

Our client tells us about herself below:

I am an active, energetic 3 year old who loves nothing more than exploring my surroundings through touch and smell; I am registered blind so need support to keep me safe, but this doesn’t stop me exploring and having adventures. I have a condition which means my airway is narrow, so have an artificial airway called a Tracheostomy in my neck, but my mum and care team can teach you all about that.

I love to listen to music and stories, and am very clever at choosing which story I want on my Tonies box. I am fiercely independent and will tell through expression and vocalization when I need your help. I love to go to the park and on bus rides to the shops.

I have a varied diet and am getting really good at feeding myself, but just need supervision to make sure food is cut up adequately and not too hot. I might make a mess but I really enjoy meal times. I am learning to use the potty like my friends at nursery.

We are looking for a fun loving carer to join the team that care for me. This is headed up by a Children’s nurse who will give you all the training you need, and my mum can help too.
